You heard that right. In light of Earth Day, this batch of green office supplies was sent to me from Roaring Spring via Shoplet.com and included one 1-subject notebook, one 3-subject notebook and a poop product: Elephant PooPoo Paper. Lemme explain…
All three are note pads are made from recycled materials, which makes you feel a lot less wasteful when having to turn a sheet full of mistakes into a rim-shot in the recycling bin.
Still scratching your head about the title of this post? Here’s how Roaring Spring explains its tagline for its paper notebook product Elephant PooPoo Paper “We Take the ‘OO’ Out of POO!”:
Elephants eat lots of grass every day and they poo almost as much. Since their digestive systems don’t really break down the grass all that well, their poo has plenty of fiber. Seeing as though grass is fiber and fiber is the base material used in making pulp for paper, well, we figured Elephant Poo would be a great alternative fiber source for making our paper products!
The images above are shots of the origami-heart bookmark I made following the DIY instructions of The Cheese Thief (highly recommend it if you’re a craft-lovin’ lady like me.) I used the Roaring Spring Elephant PooPoo Paper to create the carefully crinkled heart and used the Roaring Spring Wirebound Notebook 3 Subject to model its form.
The Elephant PooPoo Paper was the perfect size and texture for this project and would be the perfect addition to any desk, especially near the phone to jot down quick notes.
Contrary to what one might think, the pages smell like roses. The pages are also off-white, thick and sturdy to hold up to just about any project your little creative heart desires.
As for the notebooks, their bright colors and durability made them both pretty and practical additions to my desk drawer.
The Roaring Spring Wirebound Notebook 1 Subject (100 sheets) and the Roaring Spring Wirebound Notebook 3 Subject (120 sheets) are made of recycled color paper . They are 11″ x 9″ in size, have college rule perforated pages with margin and include one double pocket under cover. The spiral is made of snag-proof wire.
The biggest difference between the two notebooks is that the pages in the 1-subject are all one color (in this case, purple, though there are other colors to choose from), while the 3-subject is divided by three colors: blue, pink and purple. The only downside to the notebooks worth pointing out is that I found the paper to be thinner than I anticipated and I would have preferred the Roaring Spring Wirebound Notebook 3 Subject to have actual dividers in between colored sections (dividers with pockets would have been a plus).
For you environmentally conscious gals out there, this set of is for you! Get your notebook online now.
Full Disclosure Reminder: These office supplies were sent to me for review by Shoplet.com. I was not paid but was given these amazing products to keep!
